On a hot summer’s day, after a rainstorm, Gilbert, Matthew and I made our way to US Cellular Field Parking Lot A.
This is where we attended the Scion FR-S First Drive Event!
After registering, they showcased the car and talked a little bit about it.
Then we were introduced to the track and lined up for some auto-crossing! …well I didn’t, I signed up as a passenger because I don’t have a drivers’ license :X Drivers got a free cap 😦
The people supervising the event were really nice. Because there were so few of us, maybe like 10?, we were allowed to go 3 laps instead of 1!
I sat with Matthew, then Gilbert, then Matthew again. I was a little scared of riding with Gilbert because he said he hasn’t driven in a LONG TIME and for a comeback to be here…scary!
But he did well, just went from brake to accelerate too quickly–it was a whiplash-inducing ride!
It was fun to zoom around and the turns were tight–like riding a rollercoaster!
If you like fun, you will like this car.
Although we drove it as a vroomvroom vehicle this day, I’m not sure how it will be day in and day out with the super low seating–like I fell into a ditch!– and the sport suspension. Matt’s car already gives me a headache sometimes -____-
PPS- On the way to our car, I spotted a SQUARE CLOUD! So strange!
